Moms Connect is a welcoming space for mothers in the early stages of their parenting.

Moms Connect is a welcoming space for mothers in the early stages of their parenting journey to connect with each other and with Jesus. In the midst of life’s busyness, we gather to share encouragement, explore and discuss God’s Word, pray together, and offer practical support. Come as you are, find friendship, and be refreshed.

What to Expect at Moms Connect

Friendships and Encouragement

  • Gather with coffee and snacks, and connect in consistent table groups to build meaningful relationships and trust.

  • Table Hosts are peer moms who welcome newcomers, foster connection, and facilitate prayer and discussion.

  • Mentor Moms offer encouragement, support, and a helping hand with babies and kids.

  • Safe, reliable childcare is available for children 6+ months, with a kid-friendly space in the room for little ones not yet ready for childcare.

  • Enjoy affordable social events throughout the year, with and without kids.

  • Join us for two special brunch mornings each year, hosted by our Mentor Moms.

Teaching

  • Each week we invite speakers from the Peace Portal community - pastors, teachers, counsellors, and experienced moms - to speak on topics such as parenting, marriage & relationships, friendship, community, mental health and so much more. They share their experience and the hope, truth and promises found in God’s word to point young moms to Jesus. 

  • We follow the church calendar diving into advent, Christmas, lent and Easter topics at those times of the year

Prayer

  • Intentional time set aside each morning for quiet journaling, reflection on scripture and prayer in table groups.

  • Whats App chat for table groups to share prayer requests and praise reports throughout the week in a safe and encouraging space 

‍ ‍Practical supports

  • We foster a culture of providing meals, snacks, and childcare help when needed 

  • A community where moms offer up items they no longer need, and ask for items they are looking for

  • Swap and shop mornings at the end of each semester. Everyone brings a box of clothes and items they no longer need and go home with some new treasures. 

A Typical Morning

9:30AM | moms start arriving. Settle kids into childcare, grab some snacks and coffee and sit with your table group. 

9:45AM | welcome and announcements followed by quiet time for gratitude journaling and reflection on scripture 

10:00AM | table discussion. How was your week? The highs and the lows, followed by prayer. 

10:30AM | speaker 

11:00AM | table discussion relating to the speaker’s topic, followed by prayer.
