Annual Parent Meeting
Parents/guardians of children entering grades 5-12 in September 2025 are invited to our Annual Parent Meeting. This event offers a chance to connect, learn about youth programs, and partner in your child's spiritual growth. Light snacks provided.
Family Groups
Sign your family up to get to know other young families over lunch to learn and grow in community. Dive in deeper together as we go through Practicing the Way's The Community Practice video series.
Seniors Corn Roast
Start the ministry year with our annual Seniors Corn Roast! Enjoy fresh corn, cold drinks, games, and fellowship outdoors. Bring your own lawn chair and sandwich; we provide the rest.
Growth Groups (Women)
Join a Tuesday morning or evening Growth Group to connect, study the Bible, and grow in faith together.
Kids Sports Night (Mutli-Week)
Drop your kids off for a night of fun in the Peace Portal Gym! Kids in Grades 1 to Grade 7 are welcome to attend for a night of non-competitive, sports-filled, fun.
Women's Fall Lunch
Women, you are invited to join us for lunch in September for great lunch, connection and special guest speaker. This is a perfect event to invite a friend who is exploring faith!
Men's Fall Kick-Off BBQ
Calling all men for an evening of food and fun as we kick off the autumn with a BBQ! Bring a lawn chair and a Pitching Wedge if you have one. We will meet at A Rocha.
Baptism Lunch
Jesus calls all who follow him to be baptized as a way of identifying with him and committing their life to him. If you'd like to learn more about baptism and consider whether you would choose to follow Jesus in this way, come join us for a casual lunch and discussion.
Photo Scavenger Hunt (Journey)
The annual Photo Scavenger Hunt is here! Students in grades 5-7 are invited to be a part of this team-effort race around the church, collecting as many points together as possible! Bring your energy, running shoes, and creativity. We will bring the fun!
Grandparenting Seminar
We want to equip you to pass down a legacy of faith to your children and grandchildren. This practical, multi-week seminar will empower and equip you. It’s open to anyone wanting to learn about grandparenting, regardless of age.
Alpha
Alpha is for anyone who’s curious about faith, purpose, and the person of Jesus—especially those who don’t usually go to church or are exploring what they believe. And it’s all starting Wednesday, October 1st.

Worship & Tech Lunch

Grief Support Groups
Grief Support Groups will begin the first week of October. These groups are for anyone who has suffered a loss and would like to learn more about grief, how to cope with it, and find support from fellow grievers. This group will meet on Tuesday mornings beginning October 7th at 10:00am in Room 206. Registration is required for these 8 week sessions.
The Sanctuary Course
The Sanctuary Course was designed for communities of faith who want to explore key mental health topics. It’s for a wide range of people including those who have questions around mental health, mental health professionals, and people living with or supporting someone with mental health challenges. Proverbs Men's Gathering

Kingdom Come
Kingdom Come is a communal night of worship and prayer where we will seek Jesus with one heart and invite His grace into all that's ahead for us. Pick up your copy of this summer’s book, The Familiar Stranger by Tyler Staton online or at the Connect Centre (limited copies) on Sundays. We will meet over lunch to discuss it in August.

YA Jug Island Hike
Join us for a 5.5 km hike at Jug Island Trail! Enjoy forest views, a peaceful walk, and a scenic beach. Perfect for all skill levels and young adults to connect.
Cultus Lake Waterslides
Students in grades 5-12 are invited to join us for our annual trip to Cultus Lake Waterpark! We'll meet at Peace Portal Church and then bus together. Please register as the grade that you are entering in September.
Family Groups
Sign your family up to get to know other young families over lunch. Dive in deeper together as we go through Practicing the Way's The Community Practice video series over 4 weeks. We will meet together in the kids wing after the 11am service.
Beach Worship Night
Join us for an evening of worship and prayer at Blackie Spit, Crescent Beach (look out for the Peace Portal tent!). Enjoy your dinner as a picnic with others and come at 5:30pm. Worship will start at 6:30pm!

Party in the Park
Peace Portal Church welcomes you to this all-ages outdoor party, filled with activities to celebrate the arrival of summer. There will be bouncy castles and activities for kids, free food, face painting, group games and more from 11:30am to 3:30pm.

Seniors 65+, join us for a refreshing morning walk through the beautiful Alaksen National Wildlife Area This peaceful loop offers lovely views and gentle terrain. After the walk, you're welcome to stick around for lunch or ice cream nearby if time allows.

Young Adults Worship Night
Young Adults ages 18 to 28, mark your calendars: we’re having a worship night! Our heart for this night is that it would be a time where young adult community can come together in worship and participate in the joy and excitement of the Holy Spirit. No need to sign up, but invite a friend along!
Does It Burger?
Join us at this pre-teen event (grades 5 to 7) where teams will tackle challenges to create burgers with unique ingredients. A panel of judges will taste and rate the creations at the end. Please wear comfortable shoes and eat before arriving, as the burgers are for sport, not food.
