Men's Fall Kick-Off BBQ
Men of Peace Portal are invited to A Rocha to Kick-Off the fall together. They'll have a hot wings competition, bucket golf (bring a pitching wedge!) and a BBQ dinner.
Baptism Lunch
Jesus calls all who follow him to be baptized as a way of identifying with him and committing their life to him. If you'd like to learn more about baptism and consider whether you would choose to follow Jesus in this way, come join us for a casual lunch and discussion.

Photo Scavenger Hunt (Journey)
The annual Photo Scavenger Hunt is here! Students in grades 5-7 are invited to be a part of this team-effort race around the church, collecting as many points together as possible! Bring your energy, running shoes, and creativity. We will bring the fun!

Grief Support Group - Monday mornings
A Grief Support Group offer a supportive space for anyone who has experienced loss and would like to learn more about grief, develop healthy coping tools, and find encouragement alongside others on a similar journey. The group will meet Monday mornings , run for 8 weeks, and requires registration.
Women's Fall Lunch
Women, you are invited to join us for lunch in October for great lunch, connection and special guest speaker. This is a perfect event to invite a friend who is exploring faith!
Alpha
Alpha is for anyone who’s curious about faith, purpose, and the person of Jesus—especially those who don’t usually go to church or are exploring what they believe. It’s not too late to sign up!
The Sanctuary Course
The Sanctuary Course was designed for communities of faith who want to explore key mental health topics. It’s for a wide range of people including those who have questions around mental health, mental health professionals, and people living with or supporting someone with mental health challenges. The Spiritual Care Course helps you grow in compassion, visitation, and spiritual companionship over 4 interactive evenings, deepening your understanding of Christ, your journey, and improving listening and respect for others’ stories.
Moms Connect
Moms, are not alone! Join us as we navigate the early stages of motherhood with support, prayer, practical help and the transformative power of God’s love.
Annual Parent Meeting
Parents/guardians of children entering grades 5-12 in September 2026 are invited to our Annual Parent Meeting. This event offers a chance to connect, learn about youth programs, and partner in your child's spiritual growth. Light snacks provided.
Citizenship Preparation Classes
Are you getting ready to write the Canadian Citizenship Exam? Are you interested in getting to know this great country? Join us for October 17th & 24th for this two session class. You must attend both sessions.
Proverbs
Join the men of Peace Portal Church for an evening of connection and conversation on October 17 and December 5th from 6pm to 8pm. Together, we’ll explore the wisdom of Proverbs and grow in fellowship with one another
Journey Youth: Fall Camp
Journey's annual fall camp is back! Grades 8-12 are invited to join us for a weekend away as we build relationships with one another, pray, learn and worship together. We can't wait to spend the weekend with you.
Men's Breakfast
Men of all ages are invited to this Men’s Breakfast. Kick off your Saturday with a great breakfast and some inspiration to start your day. A time to eat some great food, be inspired and connect with other men at Peace Portal. Cost is $10/person.
Divorce Care
If you are walking through the pain of separation or divorce, you do not have to carry it alone. DivorceCare is a 14-week, video-based support group designed to offer a safe, caring space for healing, emotional support, and practical guidance for the road ahead. Fall Kick-Off

Kingdom Come
Kingdom Come is a communal night of worship and prayer where we will seek Jesus with one heart and invite His grace into all that's ahead for us. Let us come together as one church across ages to orient ourselves to the year ahead through worship and prayer on September 11th at 6:30pm in Gym.

Seniors Corn Roast
Start the ministry year with our annual Seniors Corn Roast! Enjoy fresh corn, cold drinks, games, and fellowship outdoors. Bring your own lawn chair and sandwich; we provide the rest.
Movie Under the Stars (Journey)
Students entering grade 6 to leaving grade 12 are invited to join us for an outdoor movie under the stars. Don't forget to bring a blanket and/or camping chair!
Welcome Team Training
Whether you've served on the Welcome Team for years or you are exploring this option, please join us on Thursday, August 27th 7:00 - 9:00pm in L02 (lower level). You can access this room via the elevator or the stairwell closest to the office.
Summer Softball Nights
Ages 16+ are welcome to join us for Summer Softball Nights! Whether you're a seasoned player or just looking for a fun way to spend the evening, come out and enjoy some friendly competition and great company.
Dessert Night with Ben & Rachel
Join us for a special Dessert Night with our global workers Ben & Rachel on Thursday, August 13 at 6:30 PM in the Café. Come enjoy dessert, hear updates from Ben & Rachel, and learn more about the work they are involved in across the Middle East. This will be a wonderful opportunity to connect, encourage them, and discover how God is at work through their ministry.

Cultus Lake Waterslides
Students in grades 5-12 are invited to join us for our annual trip to Cultus Lake Waterpark! We'll meet at Peace Portal Church and then bus together. Please register as the grade that you are entering in September.
Beach Worship Night
Join us for an evening of worship and prayer at the Crescent beach. Enjoy your dinner as a picnic with others and come at 5:30pm. Worship + Baptism will start at 6:30pm!

Seniors 65+ are invited to join us for a delightful afternoon filled with delicious food, fun games, great music, and warm fellowship at A Rocha, at the corner of 16 Ave and 192 St!
YA x Seniors Hike
Join us for a refreshing walk at Aldergrove Regional Park, featuring forested trails, open meadows, and a bit more elevation for those ready for a gentle challenge. We’ll walk at a comfortable pace and enjoy God’s creation together.
Does It Burger?
Join us at this pre-teen event (grades 5 to 7) where teams will tackle challenges to create burgers with unique ingredients. A panel of judges will taste and rate the creations at the end. Please wear comfortable shoes and eat before arriving, as the burgers are for sport, not food.
Five Minute Film Fest
Join us for Journey's annual Five Minute Film Festival. Each small group will be showcasing a five minute movie of their own creation. Get ready to walk the red carpet, eat great snacks and see your friends on the big screen! It starts at 7:00 pm and costs $10.
Young Adults Retreat
Young Adults (18-28) are invited to join us for a weekend away at Charis Camp in Chilliwack. This will be a weekend to unplug, build deeper friendships, and grow in your faith together. Whether you're brand new or have been around for years, we're excited to have you there!
Summer Bible Study
Join us this summer semester as we uncover the powerful stories of the unknown women of the Bible. Ordinary women whose encounters with God reveal extraordinary faith. Meeting on the 1st Tuesday of each month for mornings and evenings.

Celebrate 50 years of God’s faithfulness at Peace Portal Church! Join us for Celebration & Reception on Saturday, April 18th (1-4 PM) featuring storytelling and tours (RSVP required), and our Anniversary Services on Sunday, April 19th (9 AM & 11 AM) with special worship and a vision-casting message (no RSVP needed).
Seniors Walk: February
Join us for a peaceful and scenic walk through Alaksen National Wildlife Area, known for its flat trails, river views, and abundant birdlife. This easy-paced walk is well suited for enjoying nature and good conversation along the way. After, join us for an optional lunch at Dairy Queen, Ladner.

Celebrate with us on Easter Sunday (April 5) at 9am, 11am, or 1pm as we reflect on Luke’s story of the resurrection—the moment that forever changed the world.
Journey to Easter
Experience this free 20 minute walk-through experience for the whole family. Move through hands-on stations that bring the Easter story to life, from Palm Sunday to resurrection morning.
