Spiritual Formation
Spiritual formation is a process of being formed into the image of God, in community, for the sake of others, and for the glory of God.

No matter where you are on your journey, we invite every person into a deepening relationship with Jesus.
GET PLANTED
-
Whether faith is something new for you or you’re wanting to grow deeper in your relationship with God, attending a Sunday service is a great way to get a sense of our church community and to meet others from the city in a low-pressure environment.
-
Come share a meal with us. This is a welcoming environment to meet others, hear about our Mission, Vision, and Values, and discover your next steps.
-
Explore life, faith, and meaning around a table with others. This is a multi-week course where you can explore life’s big questions in a friendly, open, and informal environment.
GET ROOTED
-
Begin growing the roots of your life into God. This is a multi-week course where you can begin to develop rhythms of engaging with God yourself while learning the foundations of Christianity, such as ‘Who is God?; How does God speak to us?; What is our purpose in life?; and Why is there suffering?’
Keep an eye out on our Upcoming Events page for the next intake.

Whether it is a Community Group, a Triad (hyperlink to Triads document explaining and outlining), or another Ministry Group at Peace Portal, a commitment to life in community with others who are on the same journey is essential to our ongoing growth.
-
These are opportunities for those who are following Jesus to grow in depth with God and others. Courses such as Christianity + Culture, The Living Word, and Life in the Spirit invite you to learn and practice your faith in ever deepening ways.
-
There are a number of groups that are based around your age, stage, or need. These may be the best environment for you to continue to grow in your relationship with Jesus. Find more info? Click below any of groups you’re interested in.
*This Spiritual Formation Track outlines a number of courses and programs that are designed for you to grow in your faith in Christ, but it is the ingredients of them that matter most. Each one invites you to grow in knowing God and yourself through community in Christ, a growing knowledge and practice of the Scriptures, and a deepening life of prayer. These are the foundational ingredients essential to all Spiritual formation.
Spiritual Formation happens best in community.
Here are three ways you can embrace a commitment to community at Peace Portal.
-
A Community Group is a group of people growing in friendship with God and one another while practicing the way of Jesus together. Community Groups embrace rhythms of eating together, learning together, praying together, and serving together. Many are intergenerational and meet weekly or bi-weekly. Fill out a 'Sign Up Form' today to get connected.
-
A MicroGroup is a group of three people who commit to meeting together for the purpose of spiritual growth. It includes discussion, honest sharing, and prayer. This is our most flexible group offering as you can determine a schedule that works for you. A MicroGroup meets a minimum of two times per month. Please download our 'Guide to MicroGroups' today.
-
Ministry Groups are groups based on age, stage, gender, or need. See if one fits for you and connect today!
